How To Naturally Lighten The Colour Of Your Vagina
Since your vagina is the most delicate part of your body, it is best to use natural products for genital whitening. Read on to know how.
For many women, genital whitening is part of their monthly grooming routine. They like to have their vagina looking like the rest of their skin and so they often opt for pharmaceutical-grade bleaches and expensive procedures.
But unless you keep up with these expensive procedures, maintaining an almost skin-coloured vagina is close to impossible.
The fact is that over the years, your vagina tends to naturally become darker and some women find that it gets pigmented as they continue to use hair removal products. It also goes darker due to skin infections, tight clothes, vitamin deficiency and/or could be hereditary or due to ageing.
So how do you lighten your vagina safely and without incurring high-cost procedures?
Products That Are Best Suited For Natural Genital Whitening
1. Aloe Vera
The aloe vera plant is known for its skin lightening properties and soothing properties. This makes it perfect to be used on your lady parts as well. While applying it just as might work, it is most effective when mixed with turmeric powder. Create a mixture of one tablespoon of aloe vela gel with a pinch of turmeric.
Apply the mixture on to your lady parts and let it sit for 20 minutes. If you've recently shaved or used a hair removing cream or if you have very sensitive skin, the turmeric can sting, so bear that in mind. It will take more than two weeks to show results but consistency is key.
2. Yogurt or raw milk
The lactic acid in yogurt and raw milk has skin lightening properties. You can dip a cotton pad in a cup of yogurt and apply it to the darkened area. Leave it on the area for 10-15 minutes.
Repeat the same process with raw milk and leave it be for 10-15 minutes and rinse it with cold water. Follow this remedy twice a day, if possible. But again, you will have to be regular at it.
3. Egg whites
Another method of genital whitening is by using egg whites. The lysozyme in egg whites is more effective than the natural skin lightener kojic acid. This lysozyme in egg whites prevents oxidation of the skin and maintains its natural red and pink undertones. It can even reverse discolouration.
Whip an egg white into frothy consistency and apply the paste onto the affected area. Leave it there for 15-20 minutes and once it dries off, rinse with cold water.
4. Sandalwood and orange peel
Another method that many Asian women have used traditionally to lighten skin tone is using sandalwood and orange peel. While the former has antimicrobial and antibiotic skin clearing properties including, the latter contains vitamin B and C. A mixture of the two acts a potent skin lightening agent.
To make this mixture add one tablespoon sandalwood and one tablespoon and add two tablespoon of rose water. Apply this paste on the area for just about five minutes and rinse it off with cold water.
5. Potato juice, tomato juice, and lemon
The three ingredients individually work towards not just skin lightening, but also prevent premature ageing and wrinkles. To make this paste, you will need a tablespoon of potato and tomato juice and two table spoons of lemon juice.
If your skin is too sensitive, avoid the lemon juice. Dip a cotton pad into the mixture and apply it onto the area, let it dry for 10-15 minutes and rinse it with cold water. Repeat the process twice a day.
