The gorgeous 33-year-old recently collaborated with fashion house Carolina Herrera to paint one of their iconic handbags for a charity exhibition.

She captured the entire process in a five-minute video. In it, she paints the bag with her signature drawing within seven hours.

She starts the video by showing the bag and shares how she usually comes up with the idea of the painting.

"(I) Just sit here, play nice music and decide what am going to be doing to this bag," she shares in her video.

"I usually just go ahead and paint on it...and use these (acrylic) colours...And, I also recently discovered this 'Uni Posca' pen...I don't usually use this the whole time, but I like to sketch on the bag with this," she adds.

The video then shows her create the design and paint on the bag, as well as inside the flap. The bag was then displayed at the CHInsignia exhibition.

Painting Was Always A Big Part Of Heart's Life

In her recent interview, Evangelista shared that she has been painting since she was little.

“I started painting more during a very sad stage in my life when I was having issues with my parents; painting was therapeutic for me,” she told the Inquirer. “I haven’t really stopped painting since I was a little girl, doodling on walls and Vogue covers,” she added.

It was this love for art, that first came to her rescue and managed to help her carve a thriving career of luxury handbag painting. It all started when a few years back, Evangelista dropped a dollop of cheese on her Hermès bag, which left a stain she couldn't get rid of. After researching for a solution, she sought to paint her itself. And thus—a luxury bag-painting artist was born.

She first got to it on her own stained Hermès bag using an acrylic paint. She was able to cover the stain with a floral design and when she posted her creation online she began getting offers from collectors and Hermès bag owners. After much thought, Evangelista decided to go ahead and take this challenge head on.

As we mentioned in our previous article, Evangelista has since painted more than 40 designer bags. These include some in canvas while the rest are leather Birkins, Kellies and Herbags. She often chooses to add her own signature style of bright images of kois, flowers, birds and female figures.
